OFFICIAL OPENING OF GLINSK COMMUNITY CHILDCARE.
It’s not often that a small rural community celebrates a Million-euro dream but the sun shone brightly on the assembled Glinsk community on Sunday 28th Feb 2010 as they gathered for the official opening of “Caisleán Óir” a state-of-the-art Childcare facility which will provide Creche, Montesorri pre-school and After-schools service to children from Glinsk and surrounding areas.
The unveiling of the official plaque to mark the opening of this excellent facility was performed by Fr. Michael Joyce assisted by Olwyn Murray, well-known semi-finalist in the “Ireland’s got Talent” programme who also cut the ceremonial ribbon. Following the blessing of the Building by Fr. Joyce, Olwyn gave a wonderful rendering of “Alleluia” song which rang around the glens of Glinsk.
