2001 Year of the Volunteer

The year 2001 was set aside as year to promote awareness of the work of many people with various groups and organisations who contribute to their communities and try to improve the quality of life.

Glinsk on December 5th 2001 made a surprise presentation to Martin Ward secretary of Glinsk Community Council for his outstanding contribution to the Community.

This community has given me so much – any contribution I can make is only an effort to give something back to a great community.
