The Marian Rollins Heritage And Education Award 2008
Heritage Week 2008 was launched by Minister Micheál Kitt T.D. at Kilkenny Castle on Sunday last. The Heritage Council is calling on people to ‘Look Forward, Look Back, Look Around’ at the presence of heritage in their everyday lives.
Conor Newman, Chairman of the Heritage Council added, “Our heritage is living, dynamic and ultimately linked to our emotions. How people value their heritage today will, to a large extent, determine its quality, significance, and relevance in the future”.
